Reading, Pa., February 9, 2012 — Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products has promoted Charlie Costello to regional sales manager to lead its Midwest region and will be responsible for managing sales, distribution and new business development.
In this position, Costello will have key account responsibilities for the distribution partners and will supervise five territory managers in the Midwest region:
Previously, Costello was global product manager for PPS (Fortron), where he was responsible for strategy, business development and global growth. He has held positions in manufacturing management, technical service, technical management, application development, business development, sales management and product management.
He has 30 years of experience in engineering plastics, several years of which have been at the Quadrant facilities in China, Brazil and the United States. With world-wide perspectives of multiple markets that use engineering plastics, Costello is a knowledgeable expert in the construction heavy truck/equipment, utilities (oil and gas), aerospace and automotive industries.
Prior to Quadrant, he has held positions within Ticona Engineering Polymers, Florence, KY, and DSM Engineering Plastics, Birmingham, MI.
Costello is a graduate of East Caroling University, Greenville, NC, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree.
He currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio and is a member of Society of Plastic Engineers, SAE, Community of Plastic Professionals, and Emerging Plastics Technologies.
