Proteus® Family

Proteus® Family

Proteus® Family

Product Overview

  • High impact resistance strength
  • Better resistance to cracking at low temperatures than Homopolymer Polypropylene
  • More pliable than homopolymer
  • Meets food handling guidelines
  • Chemical- and corrosion-resistant
  • No moisture absorption
  • FDA and 3-A Dairy Compliant

Product Details

Versatility is the word that best describes Proteus® Co-Polymer. Perfect for fire truck tanks because it is inexpensive, easy to fabricate and won't crack from road vibration, Proteus® Co-Polymer also works well in those orthotic devices that require a lower degree of rigidity.

It can also be used in a variety of applications requiring chemical resistance and/or FDA compliance.

Proteus® Co-Polymer is "natural" in color, stress relieved and available in both 48" x 96" and 48" x 120" sheets with gauge sizes ranging from 1/8" to 2".

Industries

  • Chemical processing & storage
  • Die cutting
  • Fire fighting equipment
  • Medical
  • Metal finishing

Applications

  • Die cutting pads
  • Fabricated parts/living hinge parts
  • Fire truck water and foam tanks
  • Orthotic and prosthetic devices
  • Plating and anodizing process equipment
  • Tanks - secondary containment

Product Details

  • Appropriate for applications to 180°F (82°C)
  • Resists most acids, alkalis and solvents
  • Meets FDA 21CFR 177.1520
  • Thermoforming performance
  • USDA, NSF and 3-A Dairy Complaint (natural color only)
  • Chemical- and corrosion-resistant
  • No moisture absorption

This crystalline material is noted for its high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent chemical resistance and high performance in thermoforming and corrosive environments.

Proteus® Homopolymer is "natural" in color, stress relieved and is available in three sheet sizes:

  • 48" x 96" with gauge sizes ranging from 1/16" to 3"
  • 48"x 120" with gauge sizes ranging from 1/8" to 2"
  • 60" x 120" sheets with gauge sizes ranging from 1/8" to 1"

Because people come in all different shapes and sizes, orthotic and prosthetic devices must be custom fit — and that's where Proteus® O&P Grade comes in. Proteus® O&P Grade maintains the rigidity and durability required by the orthotics and prosthetics industry, while exhibiting top thermoforming performance.

Proteus® O&P Grade is a "natural" color and available in 48" x 96" sheets with gauge sizes ranging from 1/16" to 1/4".
